Mumbai Indians beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 4 wickets on Friday (April 18). Abhishek Sharma's 40 and and Heinrich Klaasen's 37* helped the SRH get to 162 on the board. In reply, cameos from everyone from the MI batting lineup steered Mumbai Indians home.
At the backend of the innings, it was Hardik Pandya's quick-fire cameo of 21 off 9 balls which helped the MI clinch the victory. Being asked to bat first, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma started slowly but added 59 runs off 7.3 overs before the departure of Travis Head after his struggling 28 off 29 balls. Will Jacks removed Ishan Kishan as SRH fell in deep trouble. Nitish Kumar Reddy started slowly and couldn’t accelerate the innings.
At the tad backend of the innings, Heinrich Klaasen scored a fine 37* off just 28 deliveries as SRH finished their innings on 162 on the board.
In response, Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma started off to a flier, adding 32 runs inside four overs before the fall of Rohit after his 26 off 16 balls. Will Jacks then came in and smashed a superb 36 off just 26 balls before he fell to Pat Cummins.
Suryakumar Yadav was on a fire, blasting a fantastic 26-run knock and at the backend of the innings, Hardik Pandya tore apart the SRH bowling lineup, scoring 21 off 9 balls as MI claimed the victory over SRH.
