Led by skipper Nurul Hasan Sohan, the Riders showcased remarkable resilience, bouncing back from two initial defeats to win three consecutive matches and claim the championship.

Following their stunning victory, GSL Chairman Clive Lloyd addressed a congratulatory letter to Rangpur Riders and their ownership, Shahian Tanim. In his note, Lloyd lauded the team’s exceptional performance throughout the tournament.
"Congratulations on your victory as the GSLT20 2024 Champions! Global Super League 2024 was undoubtedly a huge success and this was only possible through the Rangpur Riders’ participation in the tournament. You professionalism and sportsmanship was foremost and was one of the pillars of the Tournament’s success," wrote Lloyd.
He further expressed gratitude on behalf of the organizing committee, stating: "On behalf of the Government of Guyana, the Board and the Executives of the ExxonMobil Guyana Super League, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your participation in the GSLT20 2024.
“The tournament brought much enjoyment to the fans, and supporters of the various teams worldwide and cricket on the whole, and this was undoubtedly achieved through your participation.”
Lloyd concluded his letter with warm wishes for the team and its future endeavors: "As we wrap up the GSLT20 2024, we wish you and your team the very best for the holiday season and safe travels."
